When shopping for your wedding dress, most brides love to bring along a few guests to help with the process. We think bringing guests is a great idea, and strongly encourage all brides to bring guests! However, it’s important to be picky with your guests.
A big key is to not bring too many guests. Too many guests can outweigh your own opinion. It’s hard to know what you want when ten people are telling you what they want—and it’s your wedding day! Keep your numbers limited only to those whose opinions you trust and value. Find people who you know won’t give you an opinion unless they know you want it, and those who truly want the best for you. Bringing your opinionated aunt might seem like a good idea, but you don’t want to risk spending your wedding day thinking of the “not my favorite” comment she made about your wedding dress.
That being said, bringing a few guests you love is a great idea! You’ll love having trusted second opinions when torn between two dresses, and it’ll be a cherished memory to have once you all celebrate together when you find the dress.
