Shipping Times

Dress shopping is one of the most exciting and meaningful aspects of the wedding planning process! Even before fittings, shipping, and alterations, browsing and trying on gowns can take a lot of time.

There is no set time frame for the entire process, but it can take a few months to more than a year depending on the dress. Planning can be challenging due to this variability. In order to help you, we've outlined what you need to know about bridal gown shipping times and when you should begin browsing.

First of all, the general amount of time for shipping a wedding dress is between 8 and 12 weeks. If you’re getting a custom gown, it can take around 16 weeks to arrive. This means that you’ll want to start shopping at least one year out from the wedding date to truly enjoy the process with as little stress as possible!

Now, it’s important to keep in mind that the pandemic did have a big impact on the bridal industry and continues to today. With many factories shutting down, it can take from 4-5 months to get your dress. It really depends on the factory, which is why it’s best to start as early as you can.

Rush shipping isn’t offered anymore with us, as it’s not possible due to these extenuating circumstances. If there are any mishaps or you need to get your gown altered in any way, you should allow 3 months for that.

If you have any concerns about shipping, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at Jaclyn’s Bridal! We put our brides first and always want to make sure that we give you the best experience possible!
